After completion of his Surgical residency from the prestigious Seth GS Medical College and KEM hospital, Mumbai he went on for further training at one of India's top rated Urological residency programmes at the Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre (IKDRC) in Ahmedabad.
After completing his medical education from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai in 1995, Dr. Kulkarni went on to do a fellowship in Nephrology at the prestigious St James’ University Hospital, Leeds, UK.

Dr. P. F. Soonawalla completed his training in Urology at the KEM Hospital in Mumbai.
