Dr. Sudheer Ambekar

Dr. Sudheer Ambekar is a Consultant Neurosurgeon practicing in Mumbai for the last 9 years. He has been associated with Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre since 2015. He completed his MBBS from JIPMER, Pondicherry and neurosurgical residency from NIMHANS, Bangalore. Following his neurosurgical training he went on to do fellowships in skull base surgery and neuro interventional surgery at the University of Miami, United States.

Dr. Ambekar has published more than 85 articles and book chapters in peer reviewed journals and has been a member of Neurological Society of India, American Association of Neurological surgeons, Congress of Neurological surgeons, Cerebrovascular Society of India for the last 10 years. He was also awarded an honorary degree of Fellowship of American Association of Neurological Surgeons (IFAANS) in 2021.

Dr. Ambekar specializes in the management of skull base and cerebrovascular lesions of the brain and spine. He also runs the endoscopic skull base surgery program at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre.
