Dr. Ramakant Deshpande

Dr. Deshpande received his MBBS from Karnataka Medical College, and Dr. Raman Deshpande earned his MS from Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. He has also obtained higher certifications such as F.I.C.S., D.H.A., and F.A.I.S.Dr. Deshpande has over 30 years of experience in the field of surgical oncology. Dr. Deshpande previously worked as the Chief of Thoracic and Pediatric Surgical Services at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. He is considered the founder of thoracoscopic surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital. He also served as an assistant professor of surgical oncology at the Kidwai Institute of Oncology in Bangalore, where he established the Department of Thoracic Oncology.Dr. Deshpande has received numerous accolades and recognition for his contributions to the medical field.

In 2014, he received the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award. Dr. Deshpande has also published in several national and international journals.
