He completed his MBBS from KEM Hospital, Mumbai and MS General Surgery from Sion Hospital, Mumbai where he was also an Assistant Professor in General Surgery for a couple of years. After finishing his Fellowship in HPB Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Mumbai, he pursued further training in the field of HPB and Liver Transplant Surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK for a period of 5 years where he achieved the professional qualifications of MRCS and FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He conducted extensive research on pancreatic cancer and successfully attained his Master's Degree in Surgical Oncology from Liverpool, UK.
