Dr. Mohammed Idhrees

Dr. A. Mohammed Idhrees is an outstanding Cardiac Surgeon having more than 15 years of clinical practice. He is an alumnus of Madurai Medical College from where he completed his general surgery training. He undertook his cardiac surgery training in the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum (Institution of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament in 1980). His expertise in cardiac surgery includes coronary artery bypass grafting and heart valve replacements/repair. His special interest is in Aortic surgery, for which he underwent training in Italy. He has an outstanding academic career and gathered many awards in his career in the field of medicine as well as extra-academic activities. Apart from being an excellent surgeon, he gets involved in research activities. He is an Editorial Board member in various national and international journals. In addition to having authored chapters in multiple textbooks, he is involved in describing 4 new innovative techniques and 1 new embryology in the field of cardiac surgery. He was awarded the “Outstanding Young clinician Cardiovascular Thoracic surgery” in 2021.
