Dr. G. P. V. Subbaiah

Dr. G.P.V Subbaiah is the Associate Clinical Director (Spine Surgery) at CARE Hospitals, HITEC City, Hyderabad. With over 22 years of experience in the medical field, he is considered the best Spine Surgeon in Hyderabad. He did his MBBS from Andhra Medical College, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India (1986 -1992). He got his MS degree in orthopaedics from Guntur Medical College, Andhra Pradesh, India (1994-1997). 

Dr. Subbaiah worked as a consultant spine surgeon at Global Hospitals, Hyderabad, and Sunshine Hospitals. He was a fellow in Spine Surgery Schulthess Klinik, Zurich, Switzerland (01-10-2001 to 31-12-2001). He was also a clinical fellow in Spine Surgery, Huddinge University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden (01-01-2002 to 30-06-2002). Dr. Subbaiah worked as a specialist in Spine Surgery, Huddinge University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden (01-07-2002 Till Jan 2005). 

Dr. Subbaiah has conducted around 3000 spine surgeries in various disciplines like fixations, deformity correction, MAST (Minimal Access Spinal Technologies) & the recent trend in spine surgeries like dynamic stabilization. 

Many articles of Dr. Subaaiah have been published in national and international journals. Some of his writings are clinical study on Trace Elements and Hyperglycemia Levels in Diabetics, with Allied Complications, Cell-Based Treatment Strategies For Intervertebral Disc Degeneration: An Overview on Potentials and Shortcomings, experimental study on Development of A Novel Animal Model For Scoliosis By Non-Invasive Method and The Effect of Scoliosis on Multiple Internal Organs With Gene Expression Analysis and many more. 

He has done remarkable works for the benefit of society. Some of his recognized works are SIRNA Mediated Gene Therapy For Intervertebral Disc Degeneration, Gene Expression Profile Interleukin’s, Metalloproteases in Single Level Degenerated Intervertebral Disc Explant, Role of Stem Cells in Disc Regeneration in An Animal Model and many more. 

Dr. Subbaiah has been rewarded with many awards and medals like Basic Science Award, ETHIRAJULU MEMORIAL GOLD MEDAL, Gold medal for paper presentation, having stood first in a quiz contest, for achieving the highest marks in microbiology and many more. 

Currently, Dr. G.P.V Subbaiah has joined CARE Hospitals – HITEC City, Hyderabad as an Associate Clinical Director of spine surgery to help patients in getting recover from spine disorders.
