Dr. Devajyoti is a qualified Plastic and Reconstructive microsurgeon subspecializing in Hand, Brachial plexus and Onco-Plastic (Cancer Reconstruction) Surgery. After completing his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, he did his General Surgery residency and super-specialization in Plastic Surgery and Burns from the reputable St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru. He further pursued 1-year Oncoplastic Reconstructive Microsurgery fellowship in Tata Medical Center, Kolkata where he continued as faculty before joining Amrita Hospital in Kochi and now Faridabad. He was awarded the prestigious Ganga Hospital and Johnson & Johnson fellowship in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery in 2019.
Dr. Devajyoti is passionate about restoring upper limb function in adult and paediatric Brachial plexus and Peripheral nerve palsies. He has special interest in Hand surgery- including trauma (fracture fixation, replantation), birth deformity correction, secondary (post burn/trauma) deformity correction and is part of the Hand transplant team. He has advanced training in functional and holistic management of Soft tissue sarcoma, Skin malignancy, Head and neck cancer and Lymphoedema. Apart from this, Devajyoti is a web designer and developer, the founder of ‘PlaRecon’- an educational Plastic Surgery website, and a digital medical illustrator- with contributions to several journal articles, the latest being published in Journal of Hand Surgery.
