Dr. Col Akhil Mishra V S M

Dr. Col Akhil Mishra V S M is a renowned Nephrologist, currently associated with Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi. He has over five decades of experience in this field. He completed his medical education at Jabalpur University in Madhya Pradesh in 1966, University of Poona in Pune in 1972, P.G.I.M.E.R. in Chandigarh in 1983, and Jabalpur University in Madhya Pradesh in 1973. He is an expert in providing treatment for chronic kidney disease, laparoscopic nephrectomy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, and percutaneous nephrolithotripsy. Dr. Mishra performed the first-ever kidney transplant at Army Hospital in 1991. He has received various awards in his extensive career, some of the most reputed ones are the Vishisht Seva Medal (1980) and the Star Performer Consultant award three times (January 2013, September 2014, and January 2015) given by Apollo Hospital.
