Dr. Ashok K. Vaid, is a distinguished and certified Medical Oncologist who has had the unique distinction of starting one of the largest Bone Marrow Transplant programs in the private sector in north India. Dr Vaid currently serves as Chairman, Medical Oncology and Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant at the Medanta Cancer Institute, Gurugram, India. He brings over 30 years of clinical expertise with special interest in Cancer Genomics, Immunotherapy Guidance and Precision Onco-therapeutics, in addition to Dendritic Cell Therapy, and Bone Marrow Transplant. He was awarded his Doctor of Medicine (DM)degree in Medical Oncology from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles, and has been actively involved in clinical research and has participated in over 50 international and national studies as Principal Investigator. Dr. Vaid is also post graduate teacher registered with National Board of Examinations and is on the panel of university examiners for super-specialty course of Medical Oncology. He was conferred the prestigious “Padma Shri” Award by the President of India, in the year 2009 for his outstanding contribution to the field of medicine.
