Dr. Anil Heroor

Dr Anil Heroor is a renowned Oncosurgeon whose Clinical and Research interest and expertise focuses on Breast Cancer, Gastrointestinal Cancer, as well as Robotic and Minimal Access Surgery for Cancer. He currently heads the Advanced Oncosurgery Unit at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. He started the Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgery Unit at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, for Cancer. Dr Heroor completed his MBBS from Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai and MS in General Surgery from LTMG Hospital, Sion, Mumbai. Later, he did his Surgical Oncology training at Tata Memorial Hospital, performing numerous Cancer Surgeries. He has published numerous scientific papers on a multitude of topics pertaining to Surgical Oncology, and delivered oral and poster paper presentations at various conferences. His work on ‘Esophageal Malignancies’ earned him the Best Paper Award at two international conferences. He is a National board-accredited teacher for Surgical Oncology and a teaching faculty at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS).
